OverviewJob Title: Behaviour Support Worker (Year 2 Pupil)

Location: Wakefield/Leeds area

Hours: Afternoons only, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil in a primary school setting. This role is ideal for someone with patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent 1:1 support during afternoon sessions

Implement behaviour strategies and support plans

Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil

Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to support progress

Promote a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

Experience working with children, ideally with behavioural or additional needs

Calm, patient, and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
