Health Care AssistantLocation: Wehdon Road, Castleford, WF10 2PY

Contract: Full-time, 42 hours per week including weekends

Rate: £13.81 per hour on completion of Care Certificate

About the roleHealth Care Assistants support adults living with complex care needs to live their best lives. Day‐to‐day responsibilities include:

Support people with personal care

Assist people at meal times

Understand individual health and wellbeing needs

Encourage and support participation in social activities, both in and out of the home

Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect

Complete and maintain care records

Qualifications & attributes

Caring, kind, understanding, calm

Ability to defuse challenging situations

Energetic and outgoing, with a positive, can‐do attitude

Great listener and communicator

Basic understanding of relevant care practices (no formal qualification required at this stage)
