£12.71 per hour (£12.81 per hour on completion of Exemplar care certificate)

PositionHealth Care Assistant at Hylton Grange Care Home, Sunderland.

Location1 Poole Road, Sunderland, SR4 0HG

ContractPermanent – flexible days and nights shifts, 12‐hour shifts, 24‐, 36‐, 42‐ or 48‐hour contracts.

About the roleSupport adults living with complex care needs to live their best lives. Your day‐to‐day responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care assistance.

Assisting with meal times.

Understanding individual health and wellbeing needs.

Encouraging and supporting participation in social activities, both in and out of the home.

Promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect.

Completing and maintaining accurate care records.

Qualifications and SkillsWe value experience and qualifications, but they are not essential for this role. Ideal candidates possess:

Caring, kind, understanding and calm nature.

The ability to defuse challenging situations.

An energetic and outgoing, positive, can‐do attitude.

Excellent listening and communication skills.
