Care and Support - Buchanan Lodge Care Home

Contract: Full Time and Part-Time

Salary: £13.60 Per Hour

Shift type: Days & Nights Available

Contracted hours: Up to 44 hours

Buchanan Lodge Care Home is located in the quiet, leafy suburb of Bearsden in North Glasgow and offers residential, nursing, respite, and dementia care for 38 residents. The former convent is thoughtfully converted to create a warm and supportive environment.

Care Assistant Contract

£13.60 per hour

Contracted to up to 44 hours per week

Paid PVG/DBS pension, uniform provided

5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role OverviewAs a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents' lives every day. This role is central to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
