Overview Support Workers: Must have own transport due to location of this serviceWORCESTER AREANIGHT DUTY - FULL OR PART TIME NIGHTS AVAILABLEWe are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated Support Workers to join our clients' team within their specialist nursing service near Worcester. We have both temporary ongoing and permanent contracts available for both day and night staff.The service can accommodate residents from the age of 18 upwards with Functional Mental health conditions (not dementia) that require rehabilitation or have long term care needs. It can also accommodate people with acquired brain injuries, Huntington's and physical health conditions.If you are an experienced support worker, ideally with a moving and handling qualification who welcomes variety and enjoys developing new skills we would like to hear from you!Applications from Support Workers with different specialisms and varied levels of experience are welcomed as we feel this aids the team to provide cohesive individualised tailored care which enables the residents to be as independent as possible.
Responsibilities Work is on a rota system over two weeks, hours TBCYou will need to be a flexible employee as you will be required to work weekends and bank holidays as per the rota.We are looking for candidates with strong self-awareness and resilience who are flexible, pro-active and committed.Our support workers should have the ability to use their own initiative, but also to work as part of a team to ensure consistency of support.Experience of working in the field of mental health, brain injury is preferredResponsibilities and Duties of a Support Worker Supporting individuals to lead an active life as much as possibleHelping individuals with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing and washingBathing and assisting with toileting where necessaryAssisting with mobility problems and other physical disabilitiesPromote mental and physical activity through talking, encouraging and engaging in activities and hobbiesHelping with meals, setting tables and trays, preparing light meals, serving meals, and feeding customers who require assistance.Support with cleaning, changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning and emptying commodes.Helping with laundryQualifications and benefits Working within a service with a GOOD CQC ratingCareer progression opportunities within the service and the company as a wholeFull induction and ongoing Support with trainingWorking within a committed and professional teamFree UniformFixed 2 week rota systemCompany pension schemeOvertime may be availableFree DBS checkAll training time paidSupport and mentoring at workSupport to gain further qualifications and career progression opportunitiesIf you are interested in working as a Support Worker on NIGHT DUTY for a well regarded company, in a specialist Support Worker role role within which you will receive full training and support along with excellent benefits please apply with your up to date CV and one of our consultants will contact you for a discussion about the role.
