Main duties of the jobThe Care Assistant role at Agincare involves providing companionship, personal care, supporting with meals and activities, and helping clients live as independently as possible. The job requires a minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK, and experience is preferred. The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week, including alternate weekends, with a mix of 6‐hour and 12‐hour shifts.

What is required from you?

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK

This is a full‐time position, working 36 hours per week, to include alternate weekends

Must be flexible to work 6‐hour and 12‐hour shifts

Experience is preferred

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

Companionship – Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement

Personal care – supporting with a wash bath or shower and assisting the client with dressing and oral care

Medication – prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams

Meals – supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages

Domestic tasks – light cleaning tasks

Mobility – supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility

Social activities – trips out, social engagements and activities within the home

Qualifications

No specific qualifications are required, but experience in the care sector is preferred.
