Social Care Assistant
Job SummaryProvide care and support to service users in a local community setting, promoting their independence, rights, choice and individuality. This temporary role involves working 16.75 hours per week for 6 months and requires availability to work one of our shift rosters.
Key Responsibilities
Promote service users' independence, rights, choice, and individuality.
Support service users with daily living activities, including meal planning and preparation for special dietary requirements.
Assist with the care of vulnerable adults, including those with dementia.
Ensure service users are engaged in meaningful activities and maintain confidentiality in the workplace.
Qualifications
SVQ in Social Care Level 2 or 3 or an HNC in Social Care, or willingness to work toward these qualifications.
Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or in the process of registration; registration required within six months of commencing employment.
Location and HoursMcKillop Grades, East Kilbride.
16.75 hours per week, temporary for 6 months.
Salary£14,034 – £14,235 per annum.
