OverviewSenior Care Assistant Days. Oak Springs Care Home

Pay: £15.03 per hour

Hours: 38.5 hours per week

Shifts: 3 x 8am-8pm shifts and one half day each week of either 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm

Join our dedicated team at Oak Springs, a luxury purpose-built residential care home providing exceptional residential, respite, and dementia care to older adults. Our 74-bed home, spread over three beautifully designed floors, offers a vibrant, enriched environment with features such as music rooms, a beauty salon, peaceful lounges, and courtyard areas.

We are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our residents, supporting their individual needs, hobbies, and preferences.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Care Assistant, you will take on a leadership role, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents. Your key responsibilities include:

Personalised Care: Assisting residents with personal care, hygiene, meals, and daily activities while promoting dignity and independence.

Companionship: Offering emotional support and fostering meaningful relationships.

Leadership Duties: Supervising and mentoring care staff, conducting appraisals, supervisions, and interviews, administering medication and maintaining accurate records and supporting care planning, audits, and liaising with healthcare professionals.

Promoting Wellbeing: Encouraging residents to engage in activities that enrich their lives, tailored to their interests and abilities.

Upholding Standards: Ensuring the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.

What We're Looking ForWe're seeking an experienced, compassionate leader with a passion for elderly care. Ideal candidates will have:

Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting.

A warm, positive personality and a calm, professional approach under pressure.

A Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or willingness to achieve it).

Confidence with record-keeping and using technology.

Flexibility to adapt to the needs of residents and the home.
