Location: HMP Fosse Way, Leicestershire, LE18 4TN

Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum, dependant on experience, plus excellent benefits

Schedule: 40 hours per week, permanent

Creative Arts TutorAs a Creative Arts Tutor in our HMP Fosse Way team, you'll help learners unlock their creativity and develop practical skills that support their future beyond prison.

You'll create a supportive, motivating learning space where people feel encouraged to participate, grow, and achieve. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on helping learners prepare for employment and reintegration, contributing to safer, stronger communities.

You'll Be Entrusted ToWhat you'll do as a Creative Arts Tutor

Design and deliver educational programmes that align with course aims, reviewing and improving content for quality.

Plan engaging lessons using high‐quality materials and resources to optimise learning.

Manage all aspects of learner accreditation.

Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, achievements, and produce performance reports when required.

Build positive, professional relationships with learners to support a productive learning environment.

Support security procedures by carrying out rub‐down searches of prisoners when needed.

A minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF), or equivalent.

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Creative Crafts or a related subject.

Experience in roles requiring strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Recent and relevant teaching experience in your subject area.

Vetting And ChecksAn Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
