Redhook Global Talent are exclusively partnering with a long-established and highly respected meat trading business on the search for experienced Meat Traders to join the company as part of its next phase of growth.

This is a genuine opportunity for commercially driven traders who want more autonomy, flexibility and earning potential within an entrepreneurial trading environment.

The business has built a strong reputation across wholesale, foodservice and manufacturing markets and is embarking on its next phase of growth. They are looking to bolster their team at all levels, from senior, experienced hires to junior traders.

The role itself is highly flexible and could suit traders operating remotely from anywhere in the UK, with an optional office to be based out of if preferred.

This is not a heavily corporate environment with layers of red tape. It is a business built around relationships, speed, trust and commercial instinct.

They are particularly interested in speaking with traders who already have established UK relationships within areas such as:

• Wholesalers
• Catering butchers
• Food Manufacturing
• Ethnic and Asian markets
• Foodservice
• Independent processors
• Export markets

About you:

• Proven meat trading experience within the UK market / or at least strong sales background into the above customer base (they could source for you)
• Strong commercial instincts and relationship management skills
• Able to work autonomously without heavy supervision
• Existing customer and supplier network preferred
• Strong understanding of market movements, pricing and margin management
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the hunger to grow a desk and drive profit
• Comfortable operating in a fast paced trading environment

Salary Package

The compensation structure is designed to heavily reward performance. As a rough guide, the business generally expects traders to generate around 4x salary level in net profit, with traders then rewarded very competitively based on performance delivered. Put simply, your total compensation will be 25% of the net profit you generate per annum.
