Technical Sales Manager – Specialty Chemicals for Construction applications

Location: UK & Ireland (Field Based)

We are a growing and dynamic specialty chemicals company supplying high-performance raw materials and additives to the construction, coatings, and industrial manufacturing sectors across the UK & Ireland.

We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Technical Sales Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong product knowledge and customer-facing experience who is looking to develop a successful career in technical sales.

Previous sales experience is not essential — full commercial and product training will be provided, however you must be confident working directly with customers and have the ambition to build long-term business relationships.

The Role:

• Manage and develop customer accounts throughout the UK & Ireland
• Application areas are: Waterproofing systems, Tile adhesives and grouts, Sealants and caulks, Flooring systems, Cement, Insulation and façades, Repair mortars
• Provide technical support and product recommendations to customers
• Products include: Polymers and resins, Pigments and fillers, Rheology modifiers, Silicones, Surfactants, Adhesion promoters, Dispersants, Cement and concrete additives
• Identify new business opportunities and market trends
• Work closely with suppliers and internal technical teams
• Conduct product presentations, site visits, and customer meetings
• Build strong relationships with manufacturers and formulators

The Ideal Candidate:

• Technical background within specialty chemicals, construction chemicals, adhesives, or related industries
• Knowledge or experience of raw materials and additives used in construction applications/formulations
• Comfortable in a customer-facing role
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK & Ireland
• Self-motivated, organised, and commercially aware
• Full UK driving licence
