Autism Assessor - Face-to-Face Only - Children & Young People


CYP Assessment - assessments take a total time of 3-3.5 hours.


Work pattern - Flexible - Minimum 5 Assessments p/week


Please note all assessments MUST be completed Face-to-Face in Manchester.


We are partnered with a bespoke Neurodevelopment service in Manchester. They are looking for experienced Autism assessors to deliver assessments to Children & Young People.


We’re looking for skilled and compassionate Associate Clinicians to join our growing network, supporting the delivery of high-quality assessments. This is a flexible opportunity ideal for clinicians experienced in Autism and related assessments who are looking for a well-supported, streamlined pathway.


About the Opportunity

Our clients model is designed to make your work as smooth as possible. Every referral is triaged by a psychiatrist, with their admin team handling consent, psychometrics, and information gathering - so you can focus on clinical work.


This is a face-to-face role only


Your Role

  • Conduct Autism assessments (ADOS/ADIR)
  • Arrange and manage your own assessment appointments
  • Review pre-collected clinical information and psychometrics
  • Produce clear, high-quality reports
  • Deliver concise feedback sessions (typically 15–20 minutes)
  • Engage in MDT discussions where clinically appropriate
  • Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs during ongoing patient care.

⏱ Timeframes

  • First appointment within 10 days of referral
  • Final report within 14 working days of last appointment


About You

  • Over 1 years experience in Autism assessment (ADOS/ADIR)
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently, with MDT support when needed

Child Autism Pathway:

  • Psychosocial appointment – 60 minutes (Can be online or Face-face)
  • ADOS appointment – 60 minutes (Needs to be face to face)
  • Developmental history with parent/guardian or informant – 1 to 1.5 hours (Can be online or Face-face)
