Working Week: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm (may include some weekends)

Brief DescriptionB37 7BA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‐on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications RequiredGCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

What We're Looking For

Somebody based within 30 minutes of the pharmacy (please make it clear on your CV if you are able to drive)

A genuine interest in healthcare and working with people

Strong communication and customer service skills

Good attention to detail and willingness to learn

Ability to work well in a fast‐paced environment

Reliable, punctual and professional

Basic IT skills

No previous pharmacy experience is required; full training is provided.

Training to be ProvidedPharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship - Birmingham

Key Duties

Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.

Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.

Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.

Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.

Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.

Apprenticeship Details

Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

Duration: Typically 15 months.

Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning.

Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours.
