SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: North Manchester (Blackley, Moston, Crumpsall and surrounding areas)

Contract: Full‐time, part‐time and temporary

Start date: Flexible

Pay: .00 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Do you have experience working in mainstream or SEN settings, or are you looking to gain valuable school‐based experience before progressing into teaching or further education roles?

Premier Education is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across our partner mainstream and SEN schools in North Manchester. These roles are ideal for graduates, qualified Teaching Assistants, or individuals with relevant childcare or support experience.

Whether you have worked in EYFS, KS1, or KS2, or have experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Support pupils across mainstream classrooms and / or specialist SEN provisions

Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning support

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to raise attainment and confidence

Support pupils with additional learning, communication, or behavioural needs

Help create engaging learning resources and assist with classroom preparation

Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with safer recruitment practices. This role involves safeguarding responsibilities, and the candidate must be committed to promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Requirements

A degree (any subject) or a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

Experience working with children in a UK school, tutoring, coaching, care, or youth setting

A patient, positive, and adaptable approach

A genuine passion for supporting children with a range of learning needs

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Strong understanding of safeguarding in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
