As a Care Assistant at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of care is provided to our residents.

About the roleReporting to the Team Leader, the Care Assistant will provide high‐quality care to residents at all times, paying attention to their specific and individual needs. You will participate in meaningful activities when possible and ensure that care plans are appropriate to each resident's needs.

Salary£12.71 per hour.

Shift PatternUp to 44 hours per week, 12‐hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

LocationFortescue Road, Cambridge, England, CB4 2JS – 3 miles from the city centre.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver care in the home, ensuring continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents' care.

Assist residents during meal times ensuring they receive meals that are suitable.

Assist with and participate in all activities provided within the home to promote person‐centred care.

Attend and complete all training and qualifications (statutory, mandatory and developmental).

Training, Skills & Experience Required

Passion for care – a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.

Experience in a care position and NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care is highly desirable – we can support you to achieve all required qualifications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
