Domiciliary Optical Assistant Apprenticeship – Norwich Street, Dereham, Norfolk, NR19 1BX. If you're a proactive people‐person with a passion for retail and delivering excellent customer service, this apprenticeship could be the perfect start to a career in optics. You will deliver eye care to those who cannot visit the stores, bringing smiles and clinical care to your local community. The apprenticeship lasts 15–18 months and combines on‐the‐job training with structured learning, after which you will qualify as a fully‐fledged Optical Assistant.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

Grade 9–4 (A‐C) GCSEs in Maths (or the equivalent/predicted result).

Individuals who have lived in the EU for 3 years or more with the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Booking eye tests.

Pre‐screening patients.

Providing style advice.

Measuring frames.

Driving services to doorsteps and offering eye care to those unable to visit the store.

Giving smiles and clinical care to the heart of the community.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary – £8.20 per hour.

Working hours – 37.5 hours per week.

Holiday – 28 days per year plus an extra paid day off on your birthday.
