Temporary Works Design Engineer Location: LondonSalary: Competitive + Benefits A leading construction-led engineering consultancy is seeking a skilled Temporary Works Design Engineer to join its growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer with at least 4 years' experience in temporary works design who is looking to work on technically challenging projects across the UK's built environment and infrastructure sectors. Working as part of a highly respected engineering team, you will contribute to the delivery of innovative and buildable temporary works solutions on complex construction projects including basements, demolition, structural alterations, high-rise developments, and major infrastructure schemes. The business has built a strong reputation for integrating temporary and permanent works design to improve buildability, reduce programme durations, and deliver practical engineering solutions on site. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver temporary works solutions from concept through to detailed designPrepare calculations, drawings, reports, and technical specificationsLiaise closely with contractors, clients, and project teamsAttend site visits and provide engineering support during constructionDeliver practical and buildable solutions aligned with construction sequencing and site constraintsContribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises Requirements Minimum 4 years' experience in temporary works or construction engineeringDegree qualified in Civil or Structural EngineeringStrong understanding of BS 5975 and temporary works proceduresExperience working on complex construction or infrastructure projectsProficient with structural analysis software and engineering design toolsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsProgressing toward Chartership (ICE or IStructE) would be advantageous What's on Offer Opportunity to work on landmark UK projectsExposure to complex temporary works and construction methodology engineeringCollaborative and technically strong engineering environmentClear progression and professional development supportCompetitive salary and benefits package#J-18808-Ljbffr
