Post-16 Vocational Tutors Barbering/Hair & Beauty & Catering - July/September startLocation: Derby City Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier) Contract: Long-term, full-time
A welcoming Post-16 provision in Derby City is recruiting two specialist vocational tutors to deliver engaging, practical qualifications to small groups of learners. These long-term roles offer stability, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on young peoples futures.
Role 1: Barbering / Hair & Beauty TutorYou will deliver hands-on sessions covering:
Barbering techniques
Hair styling and basic beauty treatments
Health & safety and industry standards
Employability skills linked to the sector
Ideal background: Industry experience in barbering or hair & beauty. Teaching experience is beneficial but not essential.
Role 2: Catering TutorYou will deliver practical catering qualifications including:
Food preparation and cooking
Kitchen safety and hygiene
Menu planning and hospitality basics
Confidence-building through real-life kitchen tasks
Ideal background: Professional catering or hospitality experience. Previous teaching or training experience is desirable.

Relevant industry experience (teaching qualification welcome but not required)
