The RoleAs a Rehab Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to adults with physical and/or learning disabilities, helping them with daily living, rehabilitation programmes, community access, and social inclusion.
You’ll work closely with healthcare professionals, families, and service users to encourage independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting individuals with daily activities and personal development
- Encouraging independence and confidence-building
- Assisting with rehabilitation and mobility support plans
- Helping service users access the community and social activities
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Maintaining accurate records and care documentation
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in care, support work, rehabilitation, or healthcare is desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings/weekends where required
- SVQ qualification or willingness to work towards one is advantageous
