About the Role

We're looking for a Deputy Garden Centre Manager to join a well-established garden centre in Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and growing group business with a strong reputation within the sector.

This role would suit an experienced retail manager who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, leading from the front, and driving commercial performance within a hands-on environment.

The site has a strong leisure retail offering, including gifting, furniture and seasonal categories, creating a varied and engaging retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of the garden centre.
  • Lead, motivate and organise the wider retail team.
  • Drive high standards across customer service, operations and merchandising.
  • Support the commercial performance of the centre through strong retail awareness.
  • Maintain a hands-on presence across the operation and support the team where needed.






What We're Looking For

  • Strong retail management experience.
  • A commercially aware approach with the ability to drive performance.
  • A confident people manager who can lead and develop a team effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on retail environment.
  • Garden centre or DIY retail experience would be highly beneficial.

Garden centre experience would be ideal, but strong retail managers from similar environments will also be considered.
