We have an opportunity for a driven Internal Sales Executive, the purpose of the role is toretain and grow business through a proactive, sales and customer service-led approach.To support the commercial objectives of the Plaswood business by maximising all sales opportunities, developing existing accounts, and contributing to new business growth.
Main Duties
Process customer orders, quotations, enquiries, and CRM interactions accurately and within agreed timeframesProactively follow up all quotations, leads, and sales opportunities to maximise conversion ratesMaintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers, with a focus on key accountsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive customer engagementMonitor and analyse customer sales performance, identifying trends and implementing actions to drive growthMaintain and manage a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and progressionPromote Plaswood products and support new product initiativesAssist with tender preparation and commercial proposals where requiredSeek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell across the product rangeRaise and manage customer complaints, ensuring thorough investigation and timely resolutionSupport root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective actionsMaintain accurate ship schedules, ensuring customers are kept informed of delivery updates or issuesManage POD requests and delivery-related queriesIdentify stock issues and liaise with relevant departments to resolveWork closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, Distribution, and Accounts to ensure smooth order fulfilmentProvide timely and accurate sales performance data and reports as requiredMaintain accurate customer, product, and CRM data, ensuring system integrity and effective pipeline managementCarry out general housekeeping duties including data cleansing and system updatesContribute to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting solutionsParticipate in team meetings and support wider team objectivesTake ownership of personal development and participate in relevant training

Actively contribute to the delivery of sales forecasts through effective account management and opportunity trackingEnsure all enquiries and quotations are managed proactively and followed through to conclusionDeliver consistent, high-quality customer service across all interactionsTake ownership of customer aftercare and ongoing relationship managementWork collaboratively within the team to ensure full coverage of workload and shared objectivesAdd value through proactive selling and identifying commercial opportunities within the customer baseTo support the Business Development Executive in the achievement of the business commercial aims and KPIsTo take ownership of your ongoing development and partake in any relevant training required in accordance with the responsibilities of your roleTo assist in developing process improvements
Person Specification and Qualifications
Experience working within a sales and customer service environmentExperience in a commercially focused role (desirable)Positive and proactive attitude towards change and developmentStrong customer service focus with a passion for delivering excellenceAbility to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholdersWell-developed communication skillsExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood problem-solving ability and initiativeCommercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunitiesStrong teamwork and collaboration skillsCompetent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word; PowerPoint desirable)Experience using CRM systems (desirable)Educated to minimum GCSE level C/5 (Maths and English)
