Stamford College is seeking an inspiring and driven Assistant Head of Faculty Business & IT to support the leadership and development of our curriculum areas, helping to shape outstanding learning experiences and positive outcomes for students.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced Business lecturer or an experienced IT lecturer with a recognised teaching qualification who is passionate about education, committed to high standards, and ready to progress into a leadership role within Further Education.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate experience of leadership, team coordination, curriculum planning, or management responsibilities within an educational or professional setting.

Whether your background is in Business or IT, we are looking for someone who can inspire both students and staff, contribute to curriculum development, and support the continued growth and success of the department.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Faculty Creative Arts, IT & Business, you will support the strategic and operational leadership of the Business and IT curriculum areas, ensuring students remain at the heart of everything we do.

You will play a key role in driving quality improvement, supporting teaching staff, developing curriculum provision, and ensuring programmes meet local and regional skills needs. Alongside leadership responsibilities, you will continue to teach within your specialist subject area and lead by example through high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.

What youll be doing as Assistant Head of Faculty

Supporting the leadership and development of Business and IT curriculum areas
Leading and motivating staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
Supporting curriculum planning and qualification reform to ensure programmes are industry relevant and future focused
Monitoring recruitment, attendance, achievement, retention and student outcomes
Supporting quality assurance, self-assessment and continuous improvement processes
Leading team meetings and contributing to staff development and performance management
Supporting preparation for Ofsted inspections and audits
Teaching within your specialist curriculum area and modelling excellent classroom practice

We are looking for a motivated and experienced education professional who has:

A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or Diploma in Education and Training
A teaching background in either Business or IT
Experience of leadership, planning, course coordination, or management responsibilities
Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
A passion for supporting both students and staff to achieve their full potential
Strong understanding of quality assurance and teaching, learning and assessment practices
