Job description

Sales Manager

Shaping stories. Creating connections. Driving success across two vibrant hotels

.This is more than a sales role. It’s an opportunity to build relationships that matter, create meaningful experiences for guests, and play a pivotal part in the commercial success of two distinctive hotels in Essex.

.

Working across both Holiday Inn Brentwood and Holiday Inn Basildon, you’ll bring energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for people—developing new business, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring every client feels understood, valued, and inspired to return.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with corporate clients, agents, and local partners
  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities across both hotels
  • Driving room, meeting, and events revenue through targeted sales activity
  • Leading engaging site visits and showcasing the hotels with authenticity and pride
  • Collaborating closely with operational teams to ensure promises made are promises delivered
  • Keeping a clear focus on performance—tracking activity, conversion, and revenue growth
  • Representing both hotels within the local community and wider commercial network

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales
  • A natural ability to build relationships and influence with ease
  • Strong commercial awareness balanced with emotional intelligence
  • Energy, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to winning business
  • Confidence in managing multiple priorities across two properties
  • A collaborative mindset—you enjoy working as part of a team, not in isolation

Who this role is for

This role is for someone who:

  • Thrives on connection – you genuinely enjoy meeting people, understanding their needs, and building lasting partnerships
  • Wants variety and pace – no two days are the same, and you’re energised by balancing two hotels and multiple priorities
  • Values autonomy and trust – you’re comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and being accountable for results
  • Seeks purpose in their work – you don’t just want to hit targets; you want to contribute to something meaningful and see the impact of your efforts
  • Feels motivated by growth – both personal and professional, with a desire to develop and progress within a supportive environment
  • Enjoys being part of a team – you collaborate naturally and take pride in shared success
