Job description

Millison Chase Limited is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client for ongoing store and shop delivery work transporting food produce.

This is a reliable, ongoing position with consistent work available and the opportunity for permanent employment for suitable candidates.

Drivers will complete deliveries to retail stores and shops using a Class 2 vehicle, with routes ranging from 1 to 20 drops depending on the schedule.

Shifts typically start between 05:00am and 08:00am. Some shifts may be long; however, all working hours will remain fully compliant with driver legislation. Weekend work is also available for drivers looking to maximise earnings.

Pay & Progression

• £20.00 per hour All shifts
• £50,000 per hour + achievable bonus structure
• Holiday Accrual & Enrolment into a work place pension after qualifying period
• Weekly pay
• Ongoing work with potential permanent positions for selected candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering food produce to stores and shops
• Completing between 1 and 20 drops per shift depending on route
• Using an underslung tail lift to safely unload cages
• Handballing cages into delivery points/stores
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring vehicle cleanliness
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and records
• Providing professional customer service at delivery locations
• Adhering to all driving regulations and company procedures

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC qualification card
• Digital tachograph card
• Previous multidrop delivery experience preferred
• Comfortable with physical work and handballing deliveries
• Good understanding of driver hours and road transport legislation
• Reliable, professional, and punctual attitude
• Applicants must not have any DR, DD, CU, MS, or TT endorsement codes showing on their licence.
• Drivers should be reliable, flexible, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
