This SEN Teaching Assistant - Hemel Hempstead role is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and highly regarded SEN school, working with pupils who require tailored academic, emotional, and behavioural support. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping young people achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant - Hemel Hempstead, you will support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Working closely with teaching staff and external professionals, you will help create a positive and engaging learning environment where every learner can thrive.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant - Hemel Hempstead, you will:

  • Provide classroom and 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs
  • Support learners' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Contribute to personalised learning plans and interventions

Role Details

  • Permanent position
  • £21,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
  • September start
  • Hemel Hempstead

This SEN Teaching Assistant - Hemel Hempstead position would suit candidates with experience working within SEN schools, mainstream schools, alternative provisions, care settings, or those with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The successful applicant for the role will be passionate about supporting vulnerable learners, confident building positive relationships, and committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

Interviews for the position will be taking place next Wednesday throughout the day.
