We are recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join our service in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. About the Service – Westbrook House
A residential care service supporting adults aged 18+ in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The service promotes independence, choice, and wellbeing through tailored, person‐centred support.

Westbrook House is an 8‐bedded home, currently supporting 7 service users:

5 service users are wheelchair users, require hoisting, and support with PEG feeding. 2 service users are more physically able and require support with learning disabilities.

Westbrook House has a warm, friendly atmosphere. There is free parking onsite.

The Role

Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, providing guidance, role‐modelling, and day‐to‐day direction.

Deliver and oversee high‐quality, person‐centred support, ensuring support plans are followed, reviewed, and updated.

Coordinate and participate in meaningful activities, appointments, and community engagement for the people we support.

Maintain high standards of record‐keeping, completing documentation, incident reports, and reviews professionally.

Participate in the Senior On‐Call rota, responding to staff queries, incidents, and operational needs as required.

Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work rota‐based shifts including Senior On‐Call

Committed to maintaining high‐quality standards and excellent practice

Requirements

Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis

Drivers desirable but not essential

Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
