Core subject areas include Maths, English, or Science. Positions available for tutoring young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and other Additional Educational Needs in Staffordshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to vulnerable learners, and you will be supported throughout placements by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in education and social-emotional development
Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
Provide holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional progress
Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
Knowledge of safeguarding processes
Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
Two professional references
UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online work
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status This role involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
We do not offer fixed hours or expenses coverage
Our insurance covers work you do for us
This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
