Job description
A specialist asset manager is hiring a Client Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of insurance relationships. This is a relationship seat with a commercial edge — you'll be the trusted point of contact for existing insurance clients, but you'll also be expected to spot where the wider product range can do more for them.
Insurers are sophisticated, demanding clients with long horizons and complex needs — across equities, fixed income, private credit, LDI and beyond. The firm wants someone who can hold those conversations credibly, keep service immaculate, and turn a strong relationship into a deeper one.
What you'll do
- Manage a book of insurance clients end-to-end for their day to day needs — reviews, reporting, queries, and day-to-day stewardship
- Build genuine trust with varying stakeholders inside each client
- Identify and convert cross-sell opportunities across asset classes and strategies
- Work hand-in-glove with portfolio management, sales and product to bring the best of the firm to each relationship
- Retain and grow assets — measured on both satisfaction and wallet share
What they're looking for
- A track record in client account management or distribution within asset management
- Real understanding of insurance clients and how they invest — regulatory, accounting and capital drivers included
- The commercial instinct to grow a relationship, not just maintain it
- Polished, credible and comfortable owning senior conversations
