Class 2 Driver

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Bothwell.

This is a night shift position working Sunday to Thursday, with 22:00 starts and shifts averaging around 8 hours. The role involves delivering goods to retail stores, with a maximum of 6 drops per shift.

Handball is required, so applicants should be comfortable with manual handling as part of their daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Complete store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out up to 6 drops per shift.
• Unload deliveries using manual handling techniques.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure legal compliance.
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations.
• Physically fit and capable of handballing deliveries.
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious.
