Business Development Manager (Marine)
Location: Scotland
Contract: Permanent / Remote
A leading marine company is seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong hunter mentality to drive new business growth across the UK. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-driven sales professional with the confidence to open doors, build new relationships, and secure high-value service, overhaul, and spare parts contracts
What You'll Be Doing
- Hunting down new customers and turning cold leads into warm opportunities
- Selling marine engine services, overhauls, spare parts, and long‑term service agreements
- Meeting prospects across the UK — shipyards, ports, owners, operators, OEM partners
- Building relationships fast and handing over qualified opportunities for quoting
- Filling and managing a strong pipeline with disciplined CRM habits
- Representing the business at exhibitions, events, and customer sites
What You Bring
- A proven track record of winning new business in B2B sales
- Confidence to break into new markets and sectors
- Marine, offshore, or industrial background (ideal but not essential)
- A self‑starting, resilient, competitive personality
- Willingness to travel UK‑wide and make things happen
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
