Sales / Pre-Sales Consultant - AWS - Remote UK

This role is pivotal in supporting the growth of their AWS partnership and involves a blend of sales, pre-sales, and strategic development activities.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute AWS sales strategies and go-to-market plans.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify, qualify, and progress AWS opportunities with both existing and new customers.
  • Create sector-aligned AWS propositions that deliver clear customer outcomes and value.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal sales teams on positioning AWS solutions effectively.
  • Lead customer discovery conversations to shape solutions aligned with business needs and technical requirements.
  • Contribute to bids, tenders, and customer proposals.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting using internal systems such as D365.
  • Work closely with AWS and partner vendors to support deal progression, funding programs, and joint opportunities.
  • Manage vendor portals and ensure compliance with deal registration processes.
  • Track incentive programs, funding opportunities, and partner benefits.
  • Develop and maintain sales enablement and marketing materials, including playbooks and pitch decks.
  • Foster strong relationships across sales, delivery, and vendor teams.
  • Stay updated on AWS services, partner solutions, and broader cloud technologies.


Skills & experience:


  • Experience in IT sales, pre-sales, or a solutions role, ideally with exposure to cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge or experience with AWS solutions, services, or the partner ecosystem.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear customer value.
  • Proven ability to conduct effective discovery conversations and understand customer requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience managing pipeline, reporting, and CRM systems (e.g., D365).
  • Confidence in working with internal and external stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-moving environment.


Your daily activities will include:


  • Collaborating with sales teams to identify and progress AWS opportunities.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored AWS solutions.
  • Developing sales enablement materials and delivering training sessions for internal teams.
  • Managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with deal registration processes.
  • Tracking and reporting on pipeline activity and forecasting.
  • Staying informed about the latest AWS services and industry trends to provide expert advice.
