HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – GOOD RATES OF PAY – ONGOING REGULAR WORK – 5 DAYS PER WEEK – LONG SHITS

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, no handball work and ongoing full-time hours with immediate starts available.

This role will suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

 • 7 Day Operation – Various Shift patterns available
• 12:00 – 16:00 or 21:00 – 01:00 Starts available
• Long shifts available to maximise earnings

Rates of Pay:

 • £17.50 per hour between 05:00 – 20:00
• £19.00 per hours between 20:00 – 05:00
• £21.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

 • RDC Deliveries & Collections.
• No handball required
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring loads are secure and compliant
• Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Adhering to all road traffic laws and company procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category CE / Class 1 Driving Licence
• A minimum of twelve month's CE / Class 1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• A valid Driver CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional and reliable approach to work

Desirable Experience:

 • Previous RDC delivery experience
• Double Deck experience

Training Provided:

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
