Project Manager
Location: Basingstoke or London office (travel to other UK offices as required)
Role Overview
This role sits within a dynamic IT team responsible for driving innovation and delivering new technology solutions across the firm. The successful candidate will lead and manage a range of projects (both technical and business-focused), coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are robust, compliant with internal processes, and effectively delivered to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, including budget oversight, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, time, and quality standards
- Provide constructive challenge to technical and business decisions using a logical, evidence-based approach
- Oversee and coordinate multiple workstreams within projects
- Research and evaluate technologies to address business needs and challenges
- Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into clear, measurable deliverables
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and take ownership of continuous professional development
- Optimise the use of resources and team capacity
- Manage third-party vendors and consultants, and collaborate with stakeholders across the firm
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing systems and processes
- Produce and maintain accurate project and technical documentation
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering technology solutions within a business environment
- Proven ability to analyse complex requirements and develop structured, logical solutions
- At least 3 years’ project management experience
- Highly self-motivated with strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience using project management tools
- Track record of delivering effective, scalable solutions
- Experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects
- Background in legal or professional services environments
- Relevant certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum)
- Understanding of cyber security principles
