Rate: £380/day

Clearance: Active SC required (essential)

Locations: Birmingham | Leeds | Newcastle | London | Manchester | Glasgow

On-site: 60% with monthly travel

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join a large-scale UK government programme. You'll develop and maintain product visions, strategies, value propositions, and roadmaps — working closely with delivery managers and senior stakeholders to embed strong product thinking into ways of working.

The team runs a high volume of parallel projects, so you'll need to be self-sufficient, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident switching context quickly while keeping users at the centre of everything you do.

What you'll bring

• Experience across both agile and traditional delivery approaches, ideally through all phases of the lifecycle
• Ability to define problem spaces clearly and articulate early hypotheses to guide discovery
• Proven track record building strong relationships with delivery managers and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and influencing skills — able to champion product practices with lead and senior delivery managers
• Confident stakeholder engagement across organisational boundaries, building buy-in for problem statements and proposed solutions
• A genuine commitment to user-centred design, balancing it against competing business priorities to deliver value
• Active SC clearance — essential, applications without this cannot be considered
