We are currently working on a Senior Legal Counsel opportunity with a rapidly growing infrastructure business operating across a number of complex, capital-intensive projects in the UK and overseas.
This is a broad and highly visible role within a well-regarded legal team, offering significant autonomy and direct exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Drafting and negotiating NEC, FIDIC, JCT and bespoke construction agreements
• Advising on major project delivery, procurement and contract management matters
• Supporting tender processes, variations, claims and contractual risk issues
• Advising on a range of commercial, regulatory and operational matters
• Working closely with project, commercial, procurement and finance teams throughout the project lifecycle
Candidates should ideally have:
• 5-7 PQE
• Strong non-contentious construction experience gained in private practice and/or industry
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Sound commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Experience advising on large-scale infrastructure, energy or engineering projects
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction lawyer looking to move closer to the commercial decision-making process and play a key role within an ambitious, growing organisation.
