Senior Product Designer - £60,000
1 day per week (or more if you prefer) in a Cambridge-based office
We’re partnering with an innovative Cambridge-based AI software company developing advanced technology used by engineering teams to solve highly complex design and optimisation challenges.
They’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a growing product and UX function, working closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and domain specialists to shape sophisticated B2B SaaS tools used for high-stakes technical decision-making.
This is an opportunity for a designer who enjoys complexity, thrives in data-rich environments, and wants to work on products where usability, clarity, and strategic thinking genuinely matter.
THE ROLE
You’ll lead design work end-to-end across discovery, definition, delivery, and launch, helping users navigate technically complex workflows and large volumes of data.
You’ll be involved in:
- Leading product design initiatives across the full design lifecycle
- Conducting and facilitating user research with technical stakeholders
- Translating complex requirements into intuitive workflows and interfaces
- Designing for data-heavy products
- Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams
- Contributing to design system evolution and product consistency
- Producing the right level of fidelity for the problem being solved
- Helping shape product direction through insight, curiosity, and challenge
Essential experience:
- Proven experience designing complex B2B SaaS products
- Strong experience working with data-heavy interfaces and workflows
- Demonstrable product thinking through detailed portfolio case studies
- Experience conducting user research and turning findings into actionable decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to challenge constructively and work autonomously
Desirable:
- Experience within technically complex, scientific, engineering, fintech, enterprise, or regulated environments
- Exposure to AI-driven products or machine learning platforms
- HCI or related academic background
- Experience working across international teams or user groups
Interview Process
- Introductory video interview
- Design task (AI tools actively encouraged)
- Final on-site workshop and team interviews
