A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Psychology Graduate Learning Mentor to join a welcoming school in Bletchley from September.

This Psychology Graduate Learning Mentor position in Bletchley offers invaluable experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), making it an ideal stepping stone for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, Counsellors, or SEN professionals. As a Psychology Graduate Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning while developing your own professional skills in a highly rewarding environment.

As a Psychology Graduate Learning Mentor in Bletchley, you will work closely with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language needs, and other additional learning requirements. You will provide classroom-based support as well as tailored one-to-one interventions, helping students build confidence, independence, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted in-class and one-to-one support for pupils with ASD and additional needs
  • Assist teachers in preparing engaging lessons and differentiated learning resources
  • Promote a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement and wellbeing
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic development throughout the school day
  • Support behaviour management strategies and personalised learning plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and wider school staff


Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology or a related discipline
  • Genuine interest in Special Educational Needs and child development
  • Previous experience working with children or within an SEN setting is advantageous
  • Understanding of ASD and speech & language needs is desirable
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and adaptable attitude
  • Passion for making a positive difference in young people's lives
