Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road safety regulations. As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be crucial in ensuring that our deliveries are completed on time and in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 7.5-tonne lorry for the delivery of goods to customers across designated routes.
• Ensure all deliveries are made safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company positively during interactions with clients.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably focusing on commercial driving.
• Ability to drive a flatbed lorry safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• A valid UK driving license with the appropriate category for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
• A professional attitude towards work, demonstrating reliability and commitment to quality service.
