Junior Property Lawyer
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid
Working hours: 08:30-17:00
About the role:
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Junior Property Lawyer (Newly Qualified Solicitor to 1 year PQE) to join our in-house legal team.
Working closely with the Senior Legal Counsel, you will support the management of a diverse property portfolio spanning retail, investment and development. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad in-house experience across a wide range of commercial property matters, including portfolio management, landlord and tenant issues, acquisitions, disposals and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, licences and related property documentation.
- Advising on landlord and tenant matters across the portfolio.
- Advising on retail leases for well-known restaurant brands.
- Assisting with acquisitions, disposals and property investment transactions.
- Supporting development projects, including option agreements, easements, wayleaves and solar leases.
- Undertaking property due diligence and managing post-completion matters, including Land Registry applications and SDLT filings.
- Liaising with external advisers and supporting legal risk management across the portfolio.
About You
- Newly Qualified Solicitor or up to 1 year PQE.
- Experience or a strong interest in commercial property law.
- Commercially aware, organised and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
