HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver – Cumbernauld

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Cumbernauld and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering full training, excellent pay, and ongoing support.

This role would suit both experienced and newly qualified drivers who are looking for stability, strong earning potential, and long-term progression.

This position is ideal for applicants who have worked in a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Shifts:

• Day shifts – Monday to Friday
• Additional hours available

Rates of Pay:

• £14.00 – £28.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Safely operating and driving Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Working as a tipper driver
• Completing loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Licence
• A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
• A reliable, professional, and punctual attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A strong understanding of road safety and compliance
• The ability to work effectively with a Driver's Mate

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Strong customer interaction and service skills

Training:

• Full industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout the assignment
