Key Account Manager | Unlicensed Medicines (Hospital Pharmacy)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, specialist pharmaceutical organisation operating within the Unlicensed Medicines (ULM) space. This Key Account Manager role will suit a highly commercial individual with strong NHS hospital pharmacy relationships, looking to take ownership of a key London territory while making a direct impact on patient access to critical medicines.

Job Overview:

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and developing strategic partnerships across NHS hospital accounts, with a particular focus on London.

You will work closely with Chief Pharmacists, Medicines Management teams, and Procurement Pharmacists, positioning the business as a trusted partner for Unlicensed Medicines supply.

This is a highly commercial role where you will combine account management and business development to grow market share and deliver against revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow key NHS hospital accounts within London
  • Deliver against sales and margin targets across the Unlicensed Medicines portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacists, procurement teams, and key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement account plans aligned to business objectives
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities within NHS Trusts
  • Provide insight into market activity, demand trends, and competitor landscape
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure compliant, high-quality supply solutions
  • Represent the business at NHS meetings, conferences, and industry events


To be successful:

  • We are looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager with strong experience selling into NHS hospital pharmacy environments
  • Proven background in pharmaceuticals, Specials, or Unlicensed Medicines
  • Strong network across hospital pharmacists, procurement pharmacists, and medicines management teams
  • Solid understanding of NHS structures, procurement processes, and regulatory frameworks
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets within a regulated healthcare setting
  • Strategic thinker with strong account planning and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a field-based role across London
  • Full UK driving licence
