MADE Careers is partnering with a globally recognised architecture and design practice to appoint a Bids Manager on a fixed term maternity cover contract within its London team.


This is an opportunity to join an internationally active studio with an impressive portfolio of work across architecture, workplace, mixed-use and city shaping projects. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in leading bid activity across both UK and international opportunities.


The Role

Working as part of a small and highly collaborative business development team, you will lead the preparation, coordination and delivery of high quality bid submissions, helping the practice secure new work across a diverse range of sectors and markets.

This is a hands-on role combining bid management, stakeholder coordination and team leadership, suited to an experienced bids professional who enjoys working within a creative and fast faced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the bids function, overseeing a small team
  • Coordinate and deliver high quality UK and international bid submissions
  • Manage the end to end bid process, from opportunity identification through to submission
  • Coordinate input from Partners, project teams and consultants
  • Tailor CVs, case studies and bid content for individual opportunities
  • Review submissions for quality, accuracy and compliance
  • Support interview preparation and presentation materials
  • Maintain bid libraries, content databases and CRM systems
  • Manage external consultant and sub-consultant relationships
  • Track bid performance and support wider business development initiatives


Requirements

  • Previous experience managing bids within architecture, design, construction or the built environment
  • Strong understanding of UK bid and procurement processes, with international experience beneficial
  • Experience leading complex submissions and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong document production and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders within a creative environment
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Candidates must already have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship cannot be provided for this role
