Female* Specialist Care Support WorkerLocation: Totton, Southampton (SO40).Service: Specialist Care
Shifts Available:
- Weekdays and alternate weekends on a rota basis.
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Support Worker to join our Specialist Care team in Totton.
In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred care to a young adult with complex needs, supporting them to lead independent, fulfilling, and meaningful lives.

Please note: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

About the RoleA rewarding role supporting an adult man in his own home with 2:1 support. He enjoys a relaxed and sociable environment, has a great sense of humour, and loves films, sharing a joke, and spending time outdoorsespecially walking his much-loved small dog, so being comfortable around dogs is essential.
He values support that helps him maintain his independence with daily tasks such as household activities, while also providing reassurance and clear communication where needed. He enjoys getting out into the community, including trips for coffee or walks. This role would suit someone kind, empathetic, and understanding, who can build a positive rapport and provide thoughtful, person-centred support in a dynamic setting.
No two days are the same your role will include:
Supporting with personal care and daily living tasksAssisting with cooking, cleaning, and household dutiesSupporting attendance at appointments and community activitiesEncouraging independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeingSupporting hobbies and interests (e.g. Cooking, arts & crafts, music, gaming, dancing)Working with individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and complex care needsUsing positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniquesWorking in environments where pets (including dogs) may be presentAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in supporting individuals with complex needs
- Calm, resilient, and confident in challenging situations
- Passionate about person-centred care
- Supportive of independence and personal development
- Willing to learn and develop professionally
- Comfortable working in homes with pets
- A full UK driving licence holder (essential)
