The home

Situated in the quiet, close knit village of Elworth, Sandbach in Cheshire, St Stephens is a purpose built 40 bedded care home which provides specialist residential and nursing care to older people and people living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.

Help prepare and serve meals and beverages to residents.

Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.

Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and dining areas as required.

Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and infection control procedures.

Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items.

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.

Dispose of waste safely and maintain recycling procedures.

Support the chef or cook in meeting residents' dietary needs, including special diets and allergies.

Report equipment faults, safety concerns, or shortages of supplies.

Help maintain accurate temperature and cleaning records where required.
