Velox Social Care is looking for experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team acrossDorset . You will be supporting Children and Young People (CYP) in crisis situations, many of whom present with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide person-centred, trauma-informed care to vulnerable young people who need consistency, structure, and emotional support to thrive.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Work with CYP who have complex needs, including learning disabilities and behavioural challenges
  • Provide a nurturing, stable, and structured environment
  • Support emotional, social, and educational development
  • Encourage independence, life skills, and positive coping mechanisms
  • Accurately complete daily logs and reports
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to ensure high standards of care

We offer flexible shift patterns including days, nights, and ongoing block bookings, with both short and long shifts available

Essential Criteria

To be considered, you must have:

  • Right to Work in the UK(We are unable to offer sponsorship)
  • 6+ months UK experience working in a CYP setting, with specific experience in challenging behaviour and learning disabilities
  • 3 references (2 professional, 1 character)
  • In-date PMVA or Team Teach certificate(or willingness to complete training)
  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
