HGV 2 Driver

Job description

We are currently seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing waste management team. This role involves the collection and transportation of a variety of waste streams, including commercial waste, construction waste, and event waste across designated routes.

You will be working over Harlow and Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, efficient, and high-quality collection service while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Working Hours

• 4:00 AM 1:00 PM for three weeks of each month
• 1:00 PM 10:00 PM for one week of each month
• One Saturday per month required

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled waste collections and deliveries in a safe and timely manner
• Collect commercial, construction, and event waste from customer sites
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure all paperwork and electronic records are completed accurately
• Adhere to all road transport legislation and company policies
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Previous waste industry experience is advantageous but not essential
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
