HGV Class 1 Container Driver

Premier Recruit are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers on behalf of a leading container transport company based in Felixstowe.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for ongoing work with a well-established container operator.

The Role

• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles carrying containers nationwide
• Tramping Monday to Friday with regular night outs
• Collection and delivery of containers to ports, depots, and customer sites
• Completing all relevant paperwork and compliance checks
• Maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous container experience preferred
• Port cards advantageous but not essential
• Good understanding of Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach

What We Offer

• £20.00 per hour
• £25.00 per night out
• Minimum 10 hours paid per shift
