HGV Multi-drop Driver

Job description

BSNI have an excellent opportunity for our distribution client based in Newry for a HGV Class 2 driver

Hours: 5.30am/ 6am start - finish (9hrs)

Rate of pay: £16 - £18

This is a temp role for over the summer period

Duties

• Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 lorry to transport goods to designated locations.
• Ensure timely collection and delivery of products, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit.
• Complete accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
• Follow all relevant road safety laws and company policies during operations.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.

Candidate requirements:

• HGV Class 2 experience
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
• Ability for performing heavy lifting and manual handling
