Job description

Territory Manager – Revision & Custom Orthopaedics

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading global medical technology organisation specialising in advanced orthopaedic solutions, including revision joint reconstruction and patient-specific implant technologies.

This is a highly clinical, theatre-based Territory Manager role focused on complex surgical cases and high-value procedures. You will work closely with consultant orthopaedic surgeons, theatre teams, and procurement stakeholders across both NHS and private hospitals.

This is not a standard orthopaedic sales role. It is a specialist, consultative position operating at the highest level of surgical complexity, supporting some of the most challenging reconstruction cases in the market.

Key Focus Areas

  • Revision hip and knee procedures
  • Custom and patient-specific implant solutions
  • Complex primary and revision reconstruction cases
  • In-theatre clinical support for advanced surgical procedures

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined territory across NHS and private healthcare settings
  • Drive adoption of revision and custom orthopaedic solutions
  • Provide in-theatre support during complex surgical procedures
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultant surgeons, theatre teams, and key decision-makers
  • Work closely with procurement stakeholders to support tender and contracting processes
  • Develop and execute a structured territory business plan
  • Identify and convert new high-value clinical opportunities
  • Deliver product education and support clinical evaluations where required

About You

We are looking for an experienced medical device sales professional with strong theatre exposure and a proven track record within orthopaedics or a closely related surgical specialty.

Essential Experience

  • Background in orthopaedic, surgical, or implantable medical devices
  • Strong experience supporting cases within the operating theatre environment
  • Proven territory management experience and consistent commercial success
  • Strong understanding of NHS and private hospital structures
  • Ability to engage credibly with consultant-level surgeons and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

Highly Desirable

  • Exposure to revision arthroplasty or complex reconstruction procedures
  • Experience with custom or patient-specific implant technologies
  • Background with leading orthopaedic manufacturers or enabling technologies
  • Experience developing and managing key opinion leader (KOL) relationships
