About The Role:

The Crowd are partnered with a highly respected architecture practice with a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, design-led work across the UK and internationally. They are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their friendly and collaborative London team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience within the architecture, design, or wider built environment sector to join one of the industry’s most recognised practices.


In this role, you will work closely with the Practice Partners and Head of Bids to lead the development of high-impact, strategic bid submissions and project-winning pursuit campaigns. Acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the business, you will help shape compelling proposals, build strong client and consultant relationships, and develop valuable insight into market opportunities and future growth areas.


The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within a fast-paced environment. As the business enters an exciting period of growth and evolution, this role will also take responsibility for the line management and development of other members of the bids team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the central inbox for opportunities and communications
  • Implement dynamic strategies for securing new projects across various sectors
  • Nurture relationships with internal stakeholders to produce compelling proposals and presentations
  • Line manage other bid coordinators
  • Orchestrate end-to-end bid processes with meticulous adherence to procedures
  • Track regional work opportunities and take ownership of improving efficiencies
  • Craft polished bid submissions, ensuring precision and consistency through rigorous proofreading
  • Maintain bid details in an organised internal database
  • Conduct regular metrics evaluations


Key Skills / Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the architectural/construction/built environment
  • Exceptional time management and organisational prowess
  • Experience in team line management and workload management
  • Proven track record in managing high-value bids
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in InDesign, demonstrating a flair for design excellence
  • Adept at collaborative communication across diverse stakeholders
  • Strong graphic design skills
